As a retail investor: This happens when you submit a DeMat request through your registrar, but the dematerialized certificate/shares is yet to reflect in the investor's CSCS account.
⚠️
This could be as a result of your registrars yet to upload the information on CSCS portal or the submission was rejected.
As registrars: This occurs when you want to confirm the status of a Dematerialisation (DeMat) request submitted to CSCS, especially where the dematerialised shares are yet to reflect in the investor’s CSCS account, and it may appear as if the migration hasn’t been processed.
1. Send an email to the CSCS Contact Centre with the details listed below:
✅
- Your Clearing House Number (CHN)
- The Stock symbol - the volume
- The Demat reference code provided by your registrar
- Member Code
2. Contact the registrar handling the stock directly (for example, African Prudential Registrars for CSCS shares) to confirm the status of the upload and processing.
Expected Resolution Timeline
Within 24 hours of receiving the enquiry.
